What it does
Four things, done properly, rather than a long list done partly.
-
Livestock tracking
Every animal identified by ear tag, QR code or hand-typed number — all three resolving to the same record, so a worn tag never stops the line.
-
Health management
Treatments recorded against real products, with withdrawal periods calculated and shown plainly. An unknown period is shown as unknown, never as zero.
-
Performance insights
Weights, movements and outcomes captured as they happen, so the numbers at the end of the season come from the chute rather than from memory.
-
Cloud sync
Records upload on their own whenever a network appears. Each operation's data is kept separate from every other, in its own database.
Built for where the work happens
Most livestock software assumes a desk, a spare hand and a signal. Cattle work offers none of the three.
- Works with no signal at all A device holds everything it captures and uploads when it next finds a network — days later if that is how long it takes.
- Usable in gloves, in sunlight Large targets, pictures before words, and confirmations you can check at a glance without reading.
- Checks run at the chute Anything missing or contradictory surfaces before the animal leaves, not days later on somebody's screen.
- Your records stay yours Each operation's data sits in its own database, and leaving means taking a readable copy with you.
Not finished — and honest about it
RanchQR Pro is being built now, with the crews who will use it. It is not yet generally available. If you run cattle and the description above sounds like your problem, we would like to hear how you work.
